Alena Parfyonova

Alena Parfenova is a prominent expert in integrated design and an inclusion specialist in the region, an organizer of educational and social projects. She is the founder of the School of Architecture and Design, a place for young architects, designers, artists. Associate Professor at the Siberian State University. Thanks to Alena, Krasnoyarsk is becoming accessible to a variety of people, including people with mental and physical disabilities. Skver Svetly (The Bright Square), a sensory-inclusive space that affects the human nervous system through smells, sounds, tastes, and tactile surfaces, is her most notable project. Such exposure makes the receptors more sensitive, and visitors learn to better control their emotions and generally improve self-control. Various activities are held there: excursions, sports seminars, gymnastics and others.
