Andrey Vovk

Journalist, founder of the VOVK and Nizhegorodsky Rabochy Telegram Channels, and a member of the city’s Civic Chamber. Andrey worked for many years in the traditional Nizhny Novgorod media: he was the editor-in-chief of Gorky TV, Patrioty Nizhnego, Komsomolskaya Pravda in Nizhny Novgorod. Winner of the professional community award Probuzhdeniye as an editor, blogger and journalist. In 2017 he founded the first non-anonymous Telegram channel VOVK, covering Nizhny Novgorod politics. And in 2022, he started the channel Nizhegorodsky Rabochiy, covering the region’s economy. In 2022 Andrey received a personal nomination prize at the Nizhny Novgorod Journalist of the Year Award 2022 as the founder of the first Telegram channel, covering Nizhny Novgorod.
