Deputy Director of the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts for Regional Development

Anna Markovna supervises the activities of six regional branches of the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts, as well as museum projects related to contemporary art, which are carried out in different cities of the country. Until February 2023, Anna Markovna was the director of the Volga-Vyatka Branch of the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts (The Arsenal). Honorary citizen of Nizhny Novgorod, Honored Worker of Culture of the Russian Federation, expert in the field of cultural policy and museum affairs, member of the International Association of Art Critics (AICA, Paris), chairman of the Nizhny Novgorod regional branch of the Association of Art Critics, author of more than 150 publications on fine arts and cultural policy, producer of exhibitions and art projects. On her initiative, a strategic comprehensive program «Cultural District» is being implemented. It is focused on the study of the city’s territory through cultural resources and opportunities for tourism. It also answers to the requests of local residents for the development of new scenic routes and services of local tourism and their ideas for the development of the city’s districts.
