Eugene Brodsky

Known by everybody in Kaliningrad, yet unknown to the rest of the country, Eugene Brodsky, is back on stage after a long break. This year he collaborated with artists from Berlin at the international festival of contemporary art «RAUM SPACE»; gave a concert in a creative cluster «ArtPlay» located in Moscow; performed a series of sold-out concerts in Kaliningrad; represented local music scene on a livestream with Berlin supported by «Art-Vorota» community and «ORWOhaus» musical collective; recorded original soundtrack for Lyuba Matyunina’s «Housing Syndrome» video installation; was involved as the author of music in Russian-Polish stage readings; released his first ever movie for his new record.

Brodsky performs music in the genre of orchestral folk. Eugene is a songwriter and performer. Previously, he led the trendy indie ensemble Ramriders. Brodsky sings almost all of his songs in English. He plays both «full-fledged» concerts of viola, drums, and double bass, and acoustic concerts for a smaller audience.

Beautiful, subtle, romantic, and even melancholic at times, touching music with soulful vocals — such a bright, interesting, and atmospheric mixture in the work of Eugene.

Right now, Brodsky is in the process of recording his new album. He also plans to be actively involved in building a musicians’ community of Kaliningrad; continue to produce music bands and collaborate with creative cluster across the county.
