Alexander Dubrovsky
Poet, performer, co-organizer of the festival of poets and artists Slovision

In society, Alexander the surname Dubrovsky, which speaks for itself, is known as a writer, text man, performer, culture reporter. He writes artistic scripts for city events, works as a school psychologist, and is in charge of the Slovision and ProZa LIVE projects. As a writer, he is partial to sung-poetry, which is associated with a melodic style of reading. Almost all of his performances are performative. In prose, he creates works close in spirit to rhythmic prose and ennobled stand-up.
SloVision is an exhibition festival, a collaborative laboratory of Kaliningrad artists and poets. The first project took place at the end of 2018. In 2021, SloVisión
ProZa LIVE is a recent project created by Alexander for live readings of the author’s short prose which is easily digestible in a show format. Local writers read their works in bars and pubs.
The #textogram solo project — aphoristic statements and visual poetry — is on the Instagram account @prozadubroza. It is important that everything is done strictly on a smartphone, in the mode «made up — written down — drawn». Some word forms from #textagram are presented at exhibitions and in urban spaces.
As an author-composer, Alexander has twice won the Kaliningrad Oblast Government’s publishing project competition. In 2020, the album SloVision was printed, in 2021 the compilation ProZa LIVE is being prepared for release.
