«A girl was born with scissors!» — this is how one woman foretold the fate of Augustine when she was born. Indeed, Augustine had a knack for «practising shamanism» — sewing, that is. Since her adolescence, she always stood out: she had a peculiar attitude and a vivid artistic perception of the world. As a student, she initiated the opening of the modern ethnic clothing department at the Yakut Art School, where she implemented her creative plans with a passion. She was the first to create modern haute couture with an ethnic flavour in Art-Fashion style in Yakutsk. She successfully participated in professional fashion designers’ competitions at the Slava Zaitsev Moscow Fashion House, and also repeatedly represented Russian fashion at international festivals in Baku, Rome, Cannes. Personal exhibitions of Augustina Filippova as an artist were organized in numerous cities across the globe, including: Yakutsk (1996, 2004, 2008, 2018, 2020, 2021), Moscow (1998, 2017), Baku (1999), Italy (2002, 2004−2005), St. Petersburg (2005, 2019), Canada Toronto (2012), France (2011), Normandy, Onfler (1996), as part of the Yakutia days in Moscow (2012). In 2019, she was awarded an Insignia of the Civil Valor of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), and the «Glory and Majesty» honorary badge of the North-Eastern Federal University.
