Maya Balashova

Winner of international and all-Russian competitions, laureate of the prize of Nizhny Novgorod, ambassador of the 800th anniversary of Nizhny Novgorod. Head and the driving force behind the festivals «Nasledie. Posviashchenie Maestro» and «Nasledie. Grani Traditsii». Graduated from the Nizhny Novgorod State Conservatory named after M.I. Glinka in 2004. with a degree in folk singing. He is an active artist, constantly performing at various concert venues in Russia and other countries. As a soloist she has collaborated with distinguished ensembles of Russia, including the Osipov State Russian Folk Orchestra and the L.G. Zykina State Academic Russian Folk Ensemble «Rossiya» and others. A frequent participant of the program Romantika Romansa on the Rossiya Kultura TV channel. She was one of the top 100 vocal experts of the singing TV series «Nu-ka vse vmeste!» on the Rossiya 1 TV channel. In January 2020 she received a grant from the Serge Prokofiev Foundation (London, Great Britain) to record her vocal album «Russkie Skazy: Russkie Pesni arranged by S. Prokofiev and S. Rachmaninov».
