Valeria Nadymova

Director of the Park and Museum Complex Stary Lyunet on the Baltic Spit

Age: 50 years

Valeria Nadymova managed to raise the topic of preservation of the natural and historical-cultural heritage of the Baltic Spit, to create the Stary Lyunet, park-museum complex, and to involve the governing structures and the population of the country in this activity.

Since 2016, in her small homeland, Valeria regularly organizes and conducts patriotic events, reconstructions of historical events, community works. She has implemented projects: History of the Baltic Spit for All, Creation of the eco-park Bird Paradise, and unveiled memorial signs on the military-patriotic theme of the historical site Baltic Spit.

Valeria delivers reports on the development of the park-museum complex at various public forums. Participated in educational accelerators: Eco-Center Reserves, Cultural Initiative/Leadership in Creative Industries, ISLA, School of Museum Leadership of the V. Potanin Charitable Foundation.

She qualified as a tour guide at the Kant Baltic Federal University to professionally introduce guests to the heritage of the Baltic Spit. She was trained under the program Development of Creative Ideas for National Tourist Routes in the Razumovsky Federal State University of Tourism.

She received grants from Vladimir Potanin Foundation Museum Landing Party 2020 and Museum Leadership 2021. Implemented the project «Military secrets of the westernmost point of Russia» with the support of the Presidential Grants Fund (2019−2020).

Valeria also received a letter of gratitude from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Kaliningrad region. On top of this, she became a member of the Kaliningrad branch of the Russian Military Historical Society.
