Natalia Fedyanina

Director of the Museum of Norilsk, Curator of the Polar Art Residence PolArt

From 2010 to January 2016, she curated the projects of the Severny Gorod media holding and in partnership with Nornickel mining company organized a number of large-scale humanitarian projects in Norilsk aimed at the social development of the territory. She was responsible for the winter celebration at the Big Argish, the Taimyr ethnic festival; the Obogatitelnaia Fabrika lecture hall; the Sowing Campaign environmental movement; a series of events at PromArt production facilities; SEVER. Doc festival, to name a few. Natalia is a winner of numerous awards. For instance, she is a laureate and repeated nominee of the National PR Award Serebryany Luchnik, laureate of the national Civic Initiative prize of the Kudrin Foundation. Since 2016, she has been engaged in the reorganization of the municipal museum network of Norilsk, which under her leadership was merged into the Museum and Exhibition Complex «Museum of Norilsk». In 2016, she founded the Polar Art Residence PolArt to support Russian artists and curators and their contemporary art in the context of Norilsk. Natalia initiated the construction of the Arctic Museum of Modern Art (AMMA), which is to be built with the support of Nornickel as part of the Comprehensive Plan for the socio-economic development of the city of Norilsk by 2026.
