Nizhny800 Team

Autonomous Non-profit Organization Tsentr 800 is a unified management center established to coordinate the activities of governmental agencies, local self-government bodies, the Expert Council and citizens as part of preparations for the 800th anniversary of the founding of Nizhny Novgorod. Tsentr 800 launched the official website for the 800th anniversary of Nizhny Novgorod, along with a number of social projects aimed at involving citizens in preparations for the celebration. Among them — the infrastructural program Nizhny 800, under which 100 objects of cultural heritage were restored, 96 public spaces were improved. As a result of the program, the Volunteers 800 project supported 116 initiatives totaling more than 100 million rubles. As it’s name suggests, the Volunteers 800 project brought in about 800 volunteers to help organize key events and projects for the city’s anniversary. As a result of the 800 Good Deeds social program, aimed at the development of charity and volunteer fundraising, the collections for charity amounted to more than 8 million rubles. Currently, Tsentr 800 organizes holidays and cultural events to attract tourists to the region.
