The Team of the Surikov Art Museum

The Surikov Art Museum is a team of creative people who are not afraid to experiment. These are the kind of people who make a visit to a museum exciting and memorable, who take a modern approach to museum activities, and show how rich and fulfilling a museum can be. The museum staff arrange exhibitions, educational programs, music and art events, lectures, competitions, workshops, themed classes, among other things. The museum regularly holds Museum Nights — colorful themed events with a full schedule of live performances of popular musicians, dancers and actors — don’t forget to dress up! The Surikov Art museum cooperates with the largest museums of Russia: the State Tretyakov Gallery, the State Russian Museum, the State Museum of Oriental Art. In 2019, the museum was the organizer of the main event of the cultural program of the Universiade — the exhibition «Surikov. Taking a Snow Town» from the collections of the Russian Museum, the Tretyakov Gallery and museums of the Krasnoyarsk Krai. The museum has received international awards: Golden Palm (Paris, France) in 1997: Grand Prix for participation in major international exhibitions. In 1999, it was named one of the 20 best museums in Russia in the Museum of the Year nomination. In 2013, the Art Museum won the Best Social Project category according to Museum World magazine.
