The American actress and model inspired two talented brothers from Nizhny Novgorod to form a band whose songs are now sung throughout the country. Uma2rman is a Russian rock band. It was originally founded by the brothers, Sergey and Vladimir Kristovsky in 2003. Later on, Sergey Solodkin (drums), Yuri Terletsky (lead guitar), Alex Kaplun (keyboards), Alexander Abramov (saxophone) and Sergey Serov (trombone) were invited as members for live concerts. The band gained popularity with the songs «Praskovya», «Uma Thurman», «Prostitsya». The band’s song was featured as the end-credits song for the film Night Watch. The brothers also performed the title song for the sitcom Daddy’s Daughters. The band won «Breakthrough of the Year at the 2004 MTV Russia Music Awards. In 2005, the band won two Muz-TV Awards in the category «Breakthrough of the Year» and «Best Song» with the song «Prostitsya» and was nominated for «Best Album». In 2016, the band won the Golden Gramophone Award 2016.
