Ushnitsky brothers
MyTona co-founders.
MyTona is one of the largest and most successful gaming companies in Russia. The brothers Alexei and Athanasius with their team of more than 1000 people develop mobile free-to-play games, which are played by millions of people around the world.
Ever since childhood, Athanasius and Alexei were interested in computer games and decided that they want not only to play, but also to develop them. One day, they got their hands on the «Country of Games» — a video game magazine which helped to understand how computer games are created. In the 2000s, they began to develop their first games together on one computer. They did it in shifts: Alexey wrote code, Athanasius handled design. In 2006, they launched their first startup aimed at developing PC video games: from simple puzzles to video game series with complex storylines. In 2012, the brothers, together with the publisher G5, released «The Secret Society», the world best-selling game. It has been installed 15 million times from the App Store, Google Play, and social networks. The same year, the brothers realized that the future lies with mobile games and decided to start a moblie video game development/publishing company.
In 2018, Cooking Diary, a time management cooking game was released, which later became the winner of the «People’s Choice Award» during the 15th International Mobile Gaming Awards in San Francisco. The game also received the People’s Voice Award of the International Webby Awards 2020. By early 2019, MyTona released 5 mobile games — Seekers Notes, Cooking Diary, Ravenhill, Riddleside, Manastorm.
In October 2020, as a result of cooperation with Netflix, «Cooking Diary x Stranger Things» Halloween update was released.
