Valery and Irina Zaitsev
Co-founders of the Za Dvumya Zaitsami Mime Theatre
Za Dvumya Zaitsami Mime Theatre was founded on April 1, 1988. This is a clown and pantomime theater, where they use movements, gestures, light, music or silence as their artistic language, telling funny and sad stories they experienced. «Funny about what’s serious, serious about what’s funny» — is a main principle the performances are based on. Most of the plays and performances in the theater’s repertoire are original. Irina and Valery Zaitsev are members of the Union of Theatrical Workers of Russia. Together they hold many awards and titles, such as Honored Worker of Culture of the Krasnoyarsk Territory. They are also laureates of various theatrical festivals. In 2022, the troupe was awarded the State Prize of the Krasnoyarsk Krai named after I.M. Smoktunovsky in theater art.
