Vasily Builov

Vasily Builov is a founder, director and composer of the Sayanfilm film company. And according to the Kinopoist film database, he also acts as a screenwriter, producer, actor and cameraman. Vasily graduated from VGIK film school and Maxim Gorky Literature Institute. He worked at Mosfilm film studio as an assistant director, filmed a documentary project in the United States. Vasily is now shooting films in Krasnoyarsk, raising environmental issues and filming people who try to make Krasnoyarsk a better place. He has directed more than 10 films, and they have repeatedly won numerous film festivals. In 2021, together with his colleagues Vladimir Tarasov and Dmitry Kvashnin, he shot a documentary film Where Our Home Is. The film was a massive success in Krasnoyarsk. It was the first documentary from Siberia to be widely distributed in Russia and Belarus, with a 8.4 rating by Kinopoisk voters. It also won a variety of film festival awards.
