Yuri Filippov

Famous Nizhny Novgorod historian, doctor of pedagogical sciences, professor, twice laureate of the Russian government award, honorary ambassador of the 800th anniversary of Nizhny Novgorod, director general of the Nizhny Novgorod Historical and Architectural Museum-Reserve. The funds of the museum number more than 340,000 units of storage, which accounts for half of the state museum fund of the Nizhny Novgorod region. Yuri Filippov considers one of his most successful projects to be the establishment of the department of cultural studies at Nizhny Novgorod State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering, which he headed for 16 years.
